A police officer from Madisonville, Shawn Davis, was pulled over by Kentucky State Police on South Main Street for overspeeding around 1 a.m. on a Sunday. The 34-year-old was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was detained at Hopkins County Jail but was released on the same day just before 6 a.m. Eyewitness News has contacted the Madisonville Police Department for a response.
