A man from Royalton was taken into custody late Thursday night after being accused of driving under the influence for the third time and providing alcohol to a minor, as reported by the Vermont State Police. After stopping a vehicle on Rt. 107 in Bethel due to a traffic violation, police recognized visible signs of impairment in the driver, Tyler Garrant, 30 years of age. During the stop, it was discovered that Garrant had supplied alcohol to a minor who was in the same vehicle. After his arrest, Garrant was delivered to the Royalton Barracks for processing, and then held at the Southern State Correctional Facility. His court appearance is set for April 9 at 8 a.m. to face his charges.
