Man Charged with Manslaughter amid Intoxication, Faces $250K Bond

Edwardo Delgado is facing charges related to intoxicated vehicular manslaughter following a fatal accident that happened this week. Interestingly, records reveal that Delgado had already been out on bail for his second DWI offense. The car accident unfolded on I-56 and North Main Street last Friday at 2:30 a.m. where reports indicate Delgado lost control of his SUV, crashed into a wall and pole, and subsequently rolled over. A female passenger in Delgado’s car died from the accident. Though reports indicate that Delgado tried to shift the blame for the crash on the deceased woman in discussions with witnesses and police. Delgado has a history of drunk driving. In 2012 he was found guilty of DWI and then in 2021, he faced a charge for DWI again. At the time of this week’s accident, Delgado was out on bail for the 2021 charge, with his bail initially set at just $100. However, his bond conditions were violated in 2022 after he received a portable alcohol monitor violation, leading to him being in a ‘bond forfeiture status’. At the moment, Delgado is being detained on a $250,000 bail bond. To follow updates on this story, check Brooke Taylor’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
