The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has charged 30-year-old Jon S. Vandemortel, from Geneva, with driving while intoxicated (DWI) and other offenses. The charges were announced on March 29th, resulting from a car accident that took place on Main Street, Penn Yan, at 6 PM on February 15th. Vandemortel is accused of DWI, reckless endangerment, speeding, and not staying in his lane. These charges will be addressed at a future date.
