DWI Charge for Driver Crashing into Farmingdale Chinese Restaurant

A driver in Farmingdale, Long Island has been criminally charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and assault after a car wreck. According to law enforcement, 39-year-old Lauren Potter was intoxicated when she crashed her Mercedes into a stationary vehicle on Friday evening just past 9:30. The collision was severe enough that both automobiles were forced into a Chinese restaurant, the Great Wall Kitchen on Boundary Avenue, where customers were present. One individual was transported to the hospital but is expected to recover. In unrelated news, a woman has been apprehended in Flatbush after body parts were discovered in a refrigerator within her residence.
