Domestic Assault & Child Cruelty at Westminster Barracks, 4th DUI & DLS Reported

Trooper Austin Soule, stationed at the Westminster Barracks in Vermont, reported an incident under the case number 24B1001105/1108. The incident occurred on February 10, 2024, at 17:41 hours and took place on Pleasant Valley Road, located in Rockingham, Vermont.

The violations charged include aggravated domestic assault, 4th count of DUI, cruelty to a child, and driving with license suspended (DLS). The person accused of these crimes is Jesse P. Bacon from Rockingham, Vermont. Bacon, 45, was taken into custody following a call to the home about an intoxicated individual assaulting another family member.

Further details about the event note that the victim is aged 15 and resident of Rockingham, although their identity has been kept confidential as per the policy of Vermont State Police around victims of sexual assault or domestic violence cases.

Bacon was processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks and is slated to appear in court at the Windham County Courthouse on February 12, 2024, at 12:30 pm. He has been detained at the SSCF facility on a bail set at $1,000.
