A driver has been arrested in connection to a drunk driving crash in the west valley area, which resulted in the hitting of a fire hydrant, according to police authorities. The incident was reported on Thursday evening, leading to the hospitalization of one person. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to a crash scene involving two vehicles on Rampart Boulevard. The accident happened when both vehicles attempted to go around each other from a private drive on Rampart from Sir Williams Ct., resulting in a collision. One of the drivers struck a fire hydrant post-crash, and was subsequently arrested on DUI charges, despite not sustaining any injuries. The other motorist, however, hit a tree and suffered minor injuries that led to their hospitalization.
