Hit-Run DUI Arrest in Madera

A man in Madera, California was apprehended for alleged DUI with over two times the permissible blood alcohol limit, following an incident of a hit-and-run. The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, involved a car that struck multiple objects like traffic signs and ended up on a house’s front lawn. The Madera Police Department responded to reports of a hit-and-run at Calimyrna and Cleveland Avenues. After fleeing the scene, the driver, David Perez, was found not far from where the incident took place. Perez was found intoxicated, with his blood alcohol level being more than double the legal limit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
