Ex-Con with DUI, Son, Ammo in Car Crashes in Manassas: Police

In the early hours of January 31, William Patrick Brown from Manassas was involved in a car incident on Hoadly Road. While driving his 2012 Chevrolet Corvette, he lost control of the vehicle, hitting a curb and then a guardrail, according to the Prince William County police.

After striking the curb and guardrail, Brown then drove through an intersection, hitting two traffic signs with the passenger side of the vehicle. Witnesses informed the police that Brown and a passenger, identified as his 10-year-old son, fled the scene before the police arrived.

Shortly afterward, the police were able to locate Brown and his son in a nearby house. They discovered that Brown had been driving under the influence and was in ownership of a live bullet during their investigation of the incident.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this incident. The child was left with known acquaintances. As a result of the law enforcement investigation, Brown was charged with felony child neglect, drunk driving, and possession of ammunition as a prior criminal convict.

It was disclosed that Brown had a past case of resisting arrest and causing damage to a police vehicle from March, as noted by Daily Voice. He is due to appear in court on February 22.
