DWI Driver Hits Cary Cookie Cutters on Kildare Farm Rd

A driver has been slapped with a DWI charge after driving an SUV into a children’s barbershop in Cary, North Carolina, on Christmas Eve, according to local officials. The accident took place around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Saltbox Village shopping center on 1241 Kildaire Farm Road, as per the Cary town officials.

The barbershop, named Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids, was closed when the SUV crashed into it, revealed Carolyn Roman, Cary town’s spokesperson. The impact caused the GMC Acadia SUV to end up entirely inside the salon, causing considerable damage. Roman clarified that the driver of the SUV was uninjured in the incident.

Investigators are presently on the scene to evaluate the structural damage to the business property, said Roman. She further disclosed that the alleged driver, a woman, was subsequently arrested by Cary police and charged with DWI. No more information was provided on Sunday afternoon or evening.
