A man, identified as Eliseo David Cruz, was apprehended by the police and charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed into a pool in Port Lavaca on Friday. The vehicle reportedly hit a palm tree and a fence around the pool before it plunged into the pool. Cruz’s vehicle was found upside down and half-submerged in the water. Although Cruz came out unharmed, he was arrested immediately by the police on the scene.

Meanwhile, a passerby named Joshua Santellana recounted how he rushed to the site when he heard the sounds of the crash and found Cruz struggling in the water. Fearing that there might be a child inside the vehicle, Santella swiftly called for help after getting Cruz out of the pool and ensuring he was safe until medical services arrived.
