DUI Crash: Emotional Man Charged at Tow Yard

Christian Galvan, a 21-year-old resident of Maricopa, had a traumatic night which caused him to break down in tears. He was discovered crying inconsolably near his wrecked vehicle late Wednesday night. Maricopa police’s reported statement suggested that he was in a tow truck.

The police further narrated that Galvan had crashed his car into a street sign, driven through a fence, and into multiple vehicles parked inside the A&R Towing Yard on Maricopa Road.

The police, upon closer investigation, suspected alcohol consumption as Galvan’s breath had an alcoholic scent and his blood-alcohol level was recorded to be .150 at the spot, notably higher than the legal limit.

Galvan also displayed poor balance which led the officers to escort him to a nearby medical facility for a blood sample before taking him into custody at the Pinal County Jail.

He is currently facing charges for DUI, reckless driving, causing criminal property damage amounting up to $10,000, as well as criminal nuisance. As a result, Galvan may face over five years of imprisonment and hefty fines.
