DUI Arrest Following Richmond Solo Car Crash

A woman from Richmond was apprehended on suspicion of drunk driving early Sunday after her pickup truck swerved off the road, landing in a ditch along Governor Peck Highway. Vermont State Police responded to the incident near the junction with VT Route 117, around 1:27 a.m., where they found 33-year-old Kylie Billado, the only person in a 2011 Dodge Ram. Despite the minor damage to her vehicle, she was wearing her seatbelt.

While investigating the incident, police noticed signs of alcohol influence on Billado. After field sobriety tests, she was detained and taken to Williston Barracks for further procedures. Billado was then set free with a directive to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on April 25 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to DUI charges. The incident led to no reported injuries and happened when the roads were wet but the weather was clear.
