On December 22, 2023, in Poughkeepsie, the New York State Police apprehended 33-year-old Eric Huang of Brooklyn, NY. Huang was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the 1st degree, categorized as a class D felony.
A traffic stop was undertaken on a 2008 Acura MDX on the Taconic State Parkway in Pleasant Valley due to breaches in the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation found that Eric Huang was driving under the influence, and this led to his arrest. A further in-depth investigation revealed Huang unlawfully possessed over 36 pounds of cannabis.
Huang received a summons to appear in the Pleasant Valley Court on January 2, 2024.
