In Raleigh, North Carolina, a man was apprehended following a high-speed chase that hit speeds over 100 mph on the I-40 highway. According to the Highway Patrol, this event began when a trooper recorded a car traveling at 92 mph in a 65 mph zone near the Rock Quarry overpass on I-40. The pursued vehicle then sped along I-87 and took the Poole Road exit, still exceeding 100 mph.
After the fleeing driver lost control and crashed into a tree off the exit ramp, he left the car and attempted to escape on foot. However, with the assistance of Raleigh police’s search dogs, he was found and arrested. The man is now confronting numerous felony charges, including a DWI.
