On Friday, the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office charged Fort Drum resident, Christian O. Rogers, following a driving complaint on Route 12 in the town of Turin. The authorities were reportedly alerted by Lewis County 911 over an erratic driver heading southbound on Route 12 that same afternoon. Deputies located a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu fitting the description, and proceeded to stop the vehicle after it was seen swerving onto the shoulder of the road. The driver, identified as Rogers, was then accused of driving under the influence. He was taken to the Public Safety Building, where a test revealed a 0.16% blood alcohol content level. Rogers was issued summonses to appear in West Turin Town Court at a future date. The deputies received assistance from the New York State Police and Unlimited Towing.
