MCPD Reports DWI, Marijuana Arrests

This article discusses recent arrests made by various police departments. Included are the charges and narratives provided by the police agencies responsible for the arrests, noting that guilt or innocence has yet to be decided in court.

Over the weekend, the Morgan City Police made arrests for drunk-driving and marijuana possession. The department received 187 service calls over a 96-hour period, resulting in several arrests, including those for intoxicated driving, marijuana possession, disturbing the peace, and evasion from police authorities.

Additionally, the Franklin Police Department recorded 20 complaints from March 15-17, resulting in arrests. Charges ranged from disturbance of peace to resisting arrest, driving under suspension, failing to adhere to stop signs, violation of protection orders, among others.

Lastly, Chief B.C. Trahan reported the arrests made by the Chitimacha Police Department. These charges include possession of marijuana, domestic abuse, and disorderly conduct. It should be noted that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
