Wilton Man Charged with DUI for High Blood Alcohol

A man from Wilton, CT, has been charged with DUI, as he was found driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. The incident occurred on Feb. 12, 2024, around 1:45 a.m. Wilton Police pulled over a 2020 Ford F150 heading east on Grumman Hill Road. The driver, a 45-year-old resident of High Ridge Road, seemed intoxicated on alcohol or drugs as per the police report.

The driver confessed to having consumed alcohol before getting behind the wheel, and he was unable to successfully complete the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and underwent chemical testing. Two consecutive tests showed his blood alcohol levels were well above the legal limit of 0.08 in Connecticut, with readings of 0.1797 and 0.1789.

After posting 10 percent of his $250 bond, the man is due to appear before Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 23.
