Following a property damage incident that occurred on State Route 88 in Sodus, officers apprehended a man named Cory Blanchard, aged 45, from Messena. He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and aggravated unlicensed operation, since the accident took place on December 20 slightly prior to 9pm. There are claims that Blanchard was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol prior to the accident. When investigators asked him to undergo field sobriety tests, he refused. He also declined a chemical test while he was being processed at the sheriff’s office. Afterward, he was transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing.
