Rose Hill DUI Crash Lands Man in Manhattan Hospital

A man from Rose Hill was taken into custody following a drunk-driving incident that led to a crash and resulted in him being hospitalized in Manhattan, Kansas. According to the Riley County Police Department Activity Report, at around 12:30 am on Monday, Jan. 8, there were emergency calls to the 1800 block of Garden Way where an injury accident was reported. Upon the arrival of first responders, it was found that a 2021 white Ford F-150 driven by 30-year-old Cody Adams from Rose Hill had hit a stationary 2004 white Chevrolet Silverado belonging to 25-year-old Steven Mattia from Manhattan. The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) confirmed that Adams was taken to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for injuries from the accident. Upon his release, he was arrested and put in the Riley County Jail on charges of drunk driving and operating a vehicle without a requisite device. As of Tuesday, Adams is no longer in jail.
