Former NFL player Richard Sherman has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), as reported by Fox 13 Seattle. The Washington State Patrol shared with Fox 13 that the arrest occurred on a Saturday morning and listed Sherman’s booking time as 4:51 a.m. PT on the King County Jail roster. The incident is undergoing an active investigation, and no additional information will be made public until the prosecutors file officially.
This arrest can lead to issues for Sherman. In March 2022, he had pled guilty to first-degree negligent driving, second-degree criminal trespass, and violating speed limits in a construction zone, all of which were related to a 2021 incident. As per Fox13, Sherman had gotten a 90-day suspended sentence and was under monitored supervision for two years, a term that hasn’t finished yet.
Sherman has been an analyst on the Amazon Prime Thursday night pregame and postgame show for the past two years, and began with FS1’s Undisputed last year. With a career spanning 11 years in the Seahawks, 49ers, and the Buccaneers, Sherman, a fifth-round pick of the Seahawks in 2011, holds an impressive portfolio being a three-time first-team All-Pro, two-time second-team All-Pro, a five-time Pro Bowler, and part of the NFL’s all-decade team for 2010-19.
