Pacific Woman Apprehended by Eureka Police for Suspected DWI

A Pacific woman, 25, was detained by the Eureka Police on suspicion of drunk driving. She was reportedly spotted excessively speeding at 67 mph in a 45-mph zone on Hwy. 109. The alleged incident occurred on Dec. 5 around 12:15 a.m., when an officer noticed the 2018 Chevrolet Impala she was operating.

The officer executed a traffic stop near Legends Parkway on the highway. Observations included an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle’s central console and another one on the front seat floor. The woman supposedly admitted to consuming a few beers prior to being pulled over.

Subsequent field sobriety tests were reportedly failed by the woman, which led to her arrest. A later blood-alcohol test conducted at the police station indicated a level of 0.149 percent, significantly above the state of Missouri’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

She is expected to face charges of suspected DWI and speeding in the Eureka Municipal Court, according to Captain Michael Werges.
