The man, identified as Samuel Maisonet-Ramos, was charged with felony DWI, abandonment of an accident scene, and interference with physical evidence, relating to the incident on Genesee Street. It was uncovered that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the event and attempted to prevent authorities from finding out who owned the vehicle involved. His former DWI conviction within the past decade meant his current DWI charge was classified as a felony. The police have yet to reveal the presence of any injuries resulting from the accident.
