According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, an off-duty Pinellas Park firefighter was apprehended on accusations of DUI. The firefighter, Sean Murphy, was seen driving at a speed of 77 mph in a 55 mph zone on Gandy Boulevard. As per the reports, when police officers stopped Murphy, they observed various signs of drunkenness, including the smell of alcohol, unsteady stance, and bloodshot and waterlogged eyes. Moreover, Murphy failed the field alcohol tests and had a blood alcohol content of .128 percent, which is higher than Florida’s legal limit of .08 percent. Consequently, he was taken to Pinellas County Jail.
