In Las Vegas, Nevada, a fatal hit-and-run accident occurred in the southwest Valley, resulting in the death of one individual and another being placed under arrest. The incident transpired around 4:30 am on Tropicana Avenue close to Decatur Boulevard.
According to Metro Police, a man driving a Ford F-250 pickup truck mounted the sidewalk near Cameron Street, colliding with a pedestrian, a water box, a water supply line, and a power pole, before plowing through a wrought iron fence. The driver then fled the scene by backing onto Tropicana Avenue.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian could not be saved and passed away on site. The authorities discovered the abandoned pickup truck in an alley on the northeast side and subsequently located and arrested the owner at his residence on charges related to DUI and hit-and-run.
