DWI Crash Injures 5 Near Knightdale on Christmas Day

Five people were injured, one of whom is faced with multiple charges, following a collision in the early hours of Christmas morning in Knightdale, North Carolina. According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, they responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Smithfield Road and Meadow Run shortly before 3 a.m. Upon their arrival, they noted that everyone involved had suffered injuries.

The five individuals involved, including two men in a Honda Civic and a woman with two children in a Ram pickup truck, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation reveals that the man operating the Honda Civic neglected to stop at a stop sign and subsequently collided with the Ram pickup truck at the intersection. The unidentified driver is now charged with failing to stop for a stop sign, driving without a license, and driving while intoxicated.
