DUI Task Force Plans Patrols on Dec. 31 – Daily Courier

Thanks to a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Police Department will join the Tri-City DUI Task Force’s increased patrols for the New Year’s weekend. The patrols will specifically be intensified on Sunday, December 31, 2023, as part of an ongoing campaign against drunk driving.

The Tri-City DUI Task Force includes officers from Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley Police Departments, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety. They frequently conduct high-visibility operations through the year. The Task Force also wants to emphasize to drivers the consequences of impaired driving, which includes costly fines and potential physical and emotional harm from making this ill-advised decision of getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol.

Stay safe by choosing to drive sober, assign a designated driver or simply hail a cab.
