Arnold Police Apprehend Repeat Offender for DWI

A 36-year-old man from Fenton was apprehended by Arnold Police on suspicion of drunk driving. This man, according to police, has had at least three previous convictions for driving while intoxicated (DWI). His arrest occurred around 10:30 p.m. on February 26, after being pulled over while driving a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis on northbound Hwy. 141 near Astra Way. The man was stopped for allegedly running a stop sign at the intersection of Big Bill Road and Melody Lane.

Upon inspection, the man seemed under the influence and was arrested without the need for field tests due to the prevailing conditions. The individual was also sought by St. Louis County Police on an outstanding warrant. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Arnold Police Station, booked, and held for St. Louis County Police.

Detective Lieutenant Jeremy Christopher stated that the Arnold Police would recommend charges against the man for drunk driving and driving with a revoked license. This will be pursued through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
