York County Principal Faces DUI Charge

The principal of an elementary school in York County, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is facing charges for drinking under the influence (DUI) following a traffic stop in February. Lee Jordan, 39, from Lititz, was found with a blood alcohol content of .126% when the police pulled him over on Feb 28, according to the news release from the borough police.

The principal is affiliated with Kreutz Creek Elementary School as indicated on the school district’s website of Eastern York. The school has yet to respond to a request made for comments about the incident.

Jordan was stopped by a patrol officer around 2:15 a.m. for a violation concerning his vehicle’s equipment. It was during this traffic stop that he was found to be allegedly under the influence. After being taken to the police station, evidential samples were obtained that showed his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit of .08%.

Upon his release from police custody, Jordan now faces two misdemeanor counts of DUI and one summary count of driving without proper headlights, according to court documents. His preliminary arraignment and hearing are scheduled for April 4.
