A man was killed in a two-car incident involving drunk driving on Edinger Avenue near Edwards Street in Huntington Beach, California. The fatal accident reportedly occurred around 9:30 pm.
According to local police, the accident unfolded when a Chevy Silverado, driven under the influence, crashed into a Toyota Prius at a high speed from behind in the same lane. As a result of the collision, the Toyota driver sustained severe injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
In the aftermath of this tragic event, the 24-year-old behind the wheel of the Silverado attempted to flee the scene but was promptly captured by law enforcement officers and subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
