DUI suspect swerves on I-80, Wyoming, with missing trailer tire

A man was apprehended on I-80 in Wyoming after driving recklessly with a missing trailer tire. The incident, which took place on December 28, 2023, drew attention from many concerned drivers who reported his dangerous driving. Notably, he was heading westbound towards Utah and was in the Evanston area.

According to sources, the man was driving slowly, swerving between lanes, and moving onto the road’s shoulder while towing a trailer missing a tire. His hazardous driving had resulted in a quarter mile of traffic buildup behind him on the highway.

When the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Uinta County law enforcement attempted a traffic stop, the suspect failed to comply, leading to a chase. During the pursuit, the driver reportedly drove erratically at speeds of between 25 to 45 mph.

After being apprehended near mile marker 39, the Wyoming resident faced numerous charges. These included reckless driving, eluding police, driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing a peace officer, and having an open container in a motor vehicle.
