Authorities reported that two drivers were apprehended at a DUI checkpoint in La Mirada, one for suspected drunk driving and the other for assumed drug influence and possession. The DUI/license checkpoint operated from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at Imperial Highway west of Valley View, as per the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Four drivers received citations for allegedly driving without a license, whilst another was cited for purportedly driving with a suspended license. The California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, provided funding for the checkpoint.
