DWI Driver Hits Cary Cookie Cutters Store on Kildare Farm Rd, Say Officials

A motorist in Cary, North Carolina, has been slapped with a DWI charge after crashing an SUV into a children’s barbershop on Christmas Eve, according to authorities. The collision took place around 1:45 p.m. at a commercial complex located at 1241 Kildaire Farm Road, close to Saltbox Village shops on High Meadow Drive.

The business, called Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids, was closed when the incident occurred. The SUV, a GMC Acadia, ended up entirely inside the shop, resulting in extensive damage. The driver was unharmed, shared Carolyn Roman, a spokeswoman for the Town of Cary.

Investigators are evaluating the structural impact of the accident on the building. The woman driving the SUV was later arrested and charged with a DWI by the Cary Police. No further details were available on Sunday afternoon or evening.
