Uriel Gutierrez Santos was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence after he reportedly rammed his truck into two stationary vehicles in Madera. Madera police responded to the incident that occurred early Friday morning on Yosemite Avenue between Olive Avenue and Highway 99. On arrival, they found Santos who they believed was inebriated. His intoxication was later verified and he was subsequently detained and sent to Madera County Jail for a DUI. In response to the incident, the Madera Police Department encouraged the public to make use of rideshares or have a designated driver to avoid similar situations.
