Justin Boyette, the Town Supervisor of Hector, New York, is now facing a serious DWI charge. This comes after the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a car in a ditch one night in the town. The car was reported at 8:36 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, on State Route 414 in Hector.
Upon the deputies’ arrival, they carried out a DWI investigation that led to Boyette’s charge. Boyette’s charge was aggravated by his refusal to take a breathalyzer test. Consequently, he will automatically face a $500 fine and a one-year suspension of his driving license.
Boyette’s charge is a felony because he has a previous DWI conviction within the last decade. In unrelated news, two men from Newfield also face charges related to drugs and guns after a search.
