Law enforcement authorities chased a driver suspected of driving while impaired on Wednesday night.
The pursuit started in the San Fernando Valley, conducted by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, and rapidly escalated into a hazardous event.
The suspect was noted driving alarmingly fast, ignoring traffic lights, and dangerously switching lanes. Sparks were observed shooting out from beneath the car whenever the driver utilized the brakes while attempting to evade the police.
Given the perilous situation, ground officers pulled back from the chase.
The LAPD continued tracking the suspect vehicle from the sky until they lost sight of it, leading to the decision to cease efforts to capture the suspect.
