A resident of Canandaigua, Paul Madafferi, was taken into custody by deputies following a roadside examination on Wednesday. Madafferi, 75, was charged with DWI and not stopping after a one-vehicle collision, according to a press statement. The accident, which caused property damage but no injuries, took place on Middle Cheshire Road in Canandaigua town. A roadside inspection found that Madafferi was under the influence of alcohol.
