Third DWI Charge for Paincourtville Man – KQKI News

Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish reported the arrest of Bryan Trumaine Johnson, 41, from Paincourtville, LA, in a felony case stemming from a traffic episode in LA 70 East near Plattenville on Sunday evening. Johnson was pulled over by an officer observing traffic in the area after he noticed a traffic violation by Johnson’s eastbound vehicle.

Upon making contact with the driver, who was later identified as Bryan Trumaine Johnson, the officer initiated an interview and noted a strong smell of alcohol from Johnson. Following the interview, Johnson was apprehended and taken to the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

Despite his refusal to undergo any form of intoxication testing, a search warrant was obtained for Johnson. Police officers accompanied him to a local healthcare facility to secure a blood sample in accordance with the warrant.

Upon booking at the Assumption Parish Detention Center, the charges against Johnson were listed as third-time Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding (101 mph in a 55 mph zone), Unlawful Refusal to Submit to Chemical Tests, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, No Driver’s License and Following too Closely.

Johnson was held in jail and was later released on a $30,000 bond.
