CHICAGO (AP) — A toddler who was shot final week throughout a highway rage incident on Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive has been faraway from a medically induced coma, in accordance with medical doctors treating the 21-month-old baby.

Docs at Lurie Youngsters’s Hospital say 21-month-old Kayden Swann stays on a ventilator. Pediatric Dr. Marcelo Malakooti says whereas the boy wants help together with his respiratory and different therapies, it was deemed protected to take away him from the coma.

Kayden was shot Tuesday after an SUV making an attempt to merge into site visitors practically struck the automobile he was driving in. Police say a verbal altercation between the drivers resulted in gunfire from the SUV that struck the toddler within the temple.

Jushawn Brown, who was driving the automobile the kid was in, was charged with illegal gun possession and launched on $5,000 bail. No different arrests have been made.
