LANSING — This week, motor service officers from the Michigan State Police, Business Car Enforcement Division (MSP/CVED) can be conducting industrial car inspections all through the state as a part of the annual Business Car Security Alliance (CVSA) Operation Secure Driver Week.
As a part of this initiative, there can be elevated site visitors security enforcement and outreach in an effort to discourage unsafe driving behaviors by industrial motorized vehicle drivers. Officers can be looking out for driver conduct violations that trigger car crashes, similar to rushing, following too carefully, improper lane modifications, reckless or careless driving, and texting/hand-held use of a cellphone whereas driving.
Throughout inspections, industrial motorized vehicle drivers can be requested to supply working credentials and hours-of-service documentation. Inspectors can even be attentive to obvious alcohol and/or drug impairment.
