EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Authorities with the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Division say a 12-year-old boy is in custody after driving a stolen car and carrying ammunition in his pocket on Sunday.
The sheriff’s division says a number of residents contacted authorities a couple of little one driving an SUV recklessly on the freeway over the weekend. Police with a number of companies started on the lookout for the motive force when he was discovered with three different passengers.
“The driving force, a 12-year-old male, had ammunition in his pocket, which led to deputies finding a handgun which had been thrown out of the shifting car,” police stated.
Authorities say the car had been reported stolen.
The sheriff’s division says the 12-year-old was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Middle on an excellent warrant in addition to two different critical costs.
