Thanks to a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Police Department will join DUI-focused patrols on the Saint Patrick’s Day weekend via the Tri-City DUI Task Force. This is in line with their continuing efforts to tackle impaired driving, with additional law enforcement action planned for Sunday the 17th of March, 2024. Furthermore, officers will converse with the public in person around the courthouse square, as part of the ‘Know Your Limit’ initiative.
Throughout the year, the Tri-City DUI Task Force will persist with high visibility operations, urging motorists to remember that driving under the influence is not worth the financial cost or the potential physical and emotional damage resulting from a poor decision.
For safety purposes, everyone is advised to drive sober, appoint a designated driver or call for transportation.
