Pike County DUI triggers car chase

Pennsylvania State Police are probing a case involving a man from Tafton who is accused of driving under the influence. The incident came to light when his car was discovered in a ditch in Palmyra Township, Pike County. On Tuesday, January 9, at around 7:39 p.m. officers were attending to a call about a disturbance caused by a drunk individual. Subsequently, they stumbled upon a white 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan in a ditch at State Route 390 (SR390) and Paper Birch South. The driver, identified as 61-year-old Mansur Dandob, was taken into custody in the middle of a rainstorm showed signs of being drunk. He was eventually charged with DUI.
