Karen Huger, a star of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” has been charged by Montgomery County Police with DUI and DWI after a single-car accident in Maryland, according to reports. The incident happened on Tuesday, when the reality TV personality hit several street signs after crossing a median. Despite the collision, Huger did not sustain any injuries. Her vehicle, a 2017 Maserati, was attended to by Montgomery Police Department officers around 11:50 p.m.
Huger is faced with additional charges, including negligent driving, recklessness endangering property, life and person, driving at an imprudent speed, failing to keep her vehicle under control to avoid a crash, and operating a vehicle with suspended registration and without reporting address change. Authorities noted that she was driving aggressively before the accident.
Huger has a mandatory court appearance date, which is yet to be specified. Following the incident, she released a statement expressing gratitude for her survival and acknowledging the emotional challenges she has been dealing with recently, especially the death of her mother and the approach of Mother’s Day.
