A Jersey Shore resident who left the scene of an accident the place a pedestrian later died has been arrested and charged.
Performing Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill introduced Wednesday that 25-year previous Matthew Cademartori of Northfield has been charged with leaving the scene of a deadly accident final Saturday in Absecon.
The accident occurred within the early Saturday morning hours and Absecon Police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Workplace Crash Investigations Unit realized that Cademartori was heading eastbound on the White Horse Pike on the time he allegedly struck Talmadge Franklin, 67, of Absecon who had been strolling eastbound on the time he was hit by the automobile.
Cademartori then fled the scene of the crash, Performing Prosecutor Shill stated, and was positioned beneath arrest at his house two days later.
He was charged with second diploma Leaving the Scene of a Deadly Motor Car Crash.
Cademartori was then dropped at the Absecon Police Division, was processed after which introduced to the Atlantic County Justice Facility the place he stays, pending a detention listening to.
