CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Charlotte police officer who was off-duty has been arrested on a DWI cost after allegedly crashing into an indication in east Charlotte, the division introduced Friday.
CMPD officers responded to calls Friday morning close to 7100 Robinson Church Highway and located a car that had collided with an indication, in keeping with the police report.
The motive force of the car was recognized as Crystal Washington, who’s a CMPD officer who was off-duty on the time. It was her private car and never a division car, authorities mentioned.
Impairment was suspected, a DWI Process Pressure arrived on the scene after a supervisor was notified, and Washington was arrested for DWI.
A separate investigation is being performed by inner affairs as a result of nature of this case.
No accidents had been reported within the crash.
