Nancy M. (Smith) Miller, 94, of Martinsburg, previously of Woodbury, handed away Oct. 17, 2022, at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Piney Creek; daughter of the late Clarence and Isabel (Bice) Smith. Nancy was united in marriage to George Wayne “Mose” Miller Could 1, 1949; collectively they celebrated 70 years till his passing Aug. 16, 2019.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca L. Smith (Donald) of Woodbury; grandson, Nick Smith (Codie) of Bedford; granddaughter, Megan Ritchey (Ben) of Roaring Spring; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Peyton Ritchey; brother-in-laws, Dwight Miller and John Knepp; and sister-in-law, Beverly Ritchey.
Nancy was preceded in loss of life by sisters, Virginia Fortney, Naomi Slagenweit, Helen Curler, Golda Smith, Mary Alice Sauer, Peggy Hoover, and Shirley Knepp; and brothers, Emmert, Donald, Clarence Jr., and Homer Smith. She was the final remaining baby, quantity 10, in a household of 12.
She was employed by A&P for a few years, holding quite a lot of positions with the corporate. Nancy was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, the place she sang within the choir. She loved portray, studying, crossword puzzles, and a imply recreation of Scrabble.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, on the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Pastor David Ulm officiated. Interment was in Dry Hill Cemetery.
