Helen Edith Skrahak Filla, 81, of Taylor, handed away peacefully surrounded by household Friday, July 9, 2021.
Helen was born Might 22, 1940, in Holland, to Joe and Frances Skrahak. She grew up in Dallas and moved to Taylor her senior yr, the place she graduated highschool.
She married the love of her life, Dan Filla, on March 19, 1960, they usually celebrated 61 cherished years of marriage. To this marriage they welcomed 5 youngsters, Daniel Jr, Albert, Danny, Edward and Robert. She additionally helped elevate her brother-in-law, Milton.
Helen adopted in her mom’s footsteps and on the age of 13 went to magnificence college and commenced working alongside her mother. She is survived by her devoted husband Dan; sons, Albert, Danny (Jan), Edward (Adria) and Lisa Filla; grandchildren, Daniel (Emily), Heather, Robbie, William and Emily Filla and Cole, Chloe and Cate Canseco; and nice grandchild, Miles Filla. Helen’s prolonged household contains Leroy Filla, Milton(Debbie) Filla, Irene Pavel and quite a few nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 6 to eight p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Windfall Funeral House in Taylor.
Funeral companies have been held Friday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at Windfall Funeral House. Helen can be laid to relaxation on the Taylor Metropolis Cemetery following the service.
