DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Officers from the Minnesota State Patrol, Duluth Police and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Workplace had been acknowledged for his or her work to take away impaired drivers from space roads.
At a ceremony Thursday State Patrol Trooper Jacob Christopherson, Duluth Police Officer Todd Simmons and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Sobczak had been offered with “Hat Trick” hockey sticks.
The award was for stopping three drunk drivers in a single shift.
Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken says imposing DWI legal guidelines and getting impaired drivers off the roads is a precedence for officers.
Stopping drunk drivers probably saves their life and the lives of others. Nationally, 28 individuals die every day in drunk driving associated crashes.
