With COVID restrictions easing, extra persons are anticipated to be on the roads this Memorial Day weekend. Bossier Metropolis Police Chief Shane McWilliams has directed that extra officers be assigned to DWI enforcement to maintain these roads secure.
The extra officers will patrol metropolis roadways with the only real objective of concentrating on motorists who select to drive whereas drunk or impaired. The stepped-up patrols are funded by a grant from the Louisiana Freeway Security Fee.
